Our Bible Study Guide and Exodus

  • Exodus 2:16. Jethro, the Priest of Midian, initiated Moses in the Mysteries so that he could receive the angel of the Lord in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush.

  • Exodus 3:14: Spiritual self-knowledge begins to appear in the Bible in Exodus 3 where God reveals to Moses that "I Am" is God's Name. Perhaps no word or phrase is less understood, nor more critical to comprehension of the Bible than this. God states that this is His name forever and is to be remembered throughout all generations. This secret becomes manifest by Christ. In John 8:58. Jesus is asked by disbelieving Jews how could He have seen Abraham. Jesus answers, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Here is the proof from Christ Himself of the spiritual nature of us all, hidden in the Name of the indwelling, higher self, the I AM.
