Grieving for a lost sister, parent, spouse, child, relationship, stages of divorce, young adults grieving death, mothers loss of child, grandmother Grieving for a lost parent, brother or sister, or child, or even a relationship, divorce or betrayal can be a challenging and difficult time. There can be different stages to grieving, but it is often when we can put the hurt and pain we feel at a distance and be grateful for the situation, even the loss, that we are able to come to terms with the experience and grow through it. If we are able to raise our thoughts to feelings of thankfulness for the time we had with the person for whom we are grieving, this can allow us to enter into closer communion with them. It is taking this step of transforming grief into gratitude which at one time can be healing and comforting and at the same time can bring us into closer contact with ourselves and the loved ones we are grieving for.
